The services begin with prayer, followed by a lively and animated worship service, interspersed, with testimonies and more prayer! Though we didn't understand the language, we did understand their heartfelt seeking after God!
Dave preached with the aid of an interpreter, and following the message people knelt around the altars for some time, and a number of people came to ask for special prayer.
Historically, Vietnam is a Buddhist nation with many shrines scattered around the countryside. Here in America in cities with large Vietnamese populations, they have also erected shrines. We were thrilled to see that the Vietnamese Christians had invited their Buddhist friends and family members to their Camp meeting.
