They invited us to their 2nd annual Conference so we can work together in finding believers from Japan. Our plan is to network with them in order to plant Japanese congregations. At the present time we have only a small group of Japanese believers. They were so encouraged to see about a hundred people attend the conference from a number of states.
Pastor Hiroshi Ito, whose church is near the city of Sendai, hardest hit by the tsunami; was the main speaker for the 2nd Japanese Conference. He shared how the Holy Spirit had told them that something ominous was about to happen in Sendai and that the church should prepare to help, and minister to them.
Pastor Ito, and his Assembly were among the first volunteers to arrive at the scene and began helping with relief efforts. They shoveled mud from many homes, and provided food and water with the help of Convoy of Hope. As they continued this ministry, God opened the hearts of people in the area, and a new congregation has been spawned. Convoy of hope has worked alongside Japanese believers making numerous trips to the area spreading the gospel.
